Spiral Wound Gaskets

 

Spiral wound gaskets are manufactured on custom engineered machinery , producing identical gaskets to industry standards .

STYLE OSW

Gaskets have a spiral wound sealing section with a solid metal outer ring . These self centering gaskets with a built in compression gauge are mainly used to seal raised face flanges . The OSW gaskets are available in standard size for ASME/ANSI flanges in petrochemical and refinery piping .

Size ½ “ up to 24 “ in class 150 # and 300 # are standard production items , but any non standard dimensions are custom made to order .

A full list of available windings and fillers is detailed below and are available in any combinations .

WINDING METALS: 316L ,304 , 321 ,347 , 410 , Monel ,Carbon steel ,Nickel, Inconel, Alloy 20 ,Titanium , Hastelloy .

INNER OR OUTER RING MATERIALS : Carbon steel , 316 , 304 , 321 , 347 ,410 , 510 , Monel , Inconel ,Titanium and Hastelloy .

NON –METALLIC FILLERS: Grafoil , Non asbestos (mica graphite ) , PTFE and ceramic

The gaskets are colour coded and stamped for easy identifiction . The sealing section (winding) is 4.5 mm thick as standard , with a 3.2 mm thick guide ring .

STYLE SW

Style SW gaskets are a construction of winding and filler only with no supporting inner or outer rings. Used in tongue and groove applications ,they are available in many sizes and thicknesses with the same range of windings and filler materials.

STYLE OSWI

Style OSWI gaskets have a solid inner and outer metal ring ,the inner ring prevents inward distortion and corrosion of the spiral element
